FLORIDA STATE 2010 TWIN FIDDLING COMPETITION AT THE FLORIDA FOLK FESTIVAL IN WHITE SPRINGS FLORIDA!

THEY DEFENDED THEIR WIN OF LAST YEAR WONDERFULLY! THIS IS "THE" FIDDLING CONTEST IN FLORIDA THAT REPRESENTS THE WHOLE OF FLORIDA! OVER 50,000 PEOPLE ATTEND THIS FESTIVAL DURING THE 3 DAY EVENT.

2010 Young Artist Competition

Congratulations to the winners of the Young Artist Competition held Saturday, February 6 at Tallahassee Community College!  Hear the three first place winners play with the orchestra on Saturday, April 17 at 4:00 p.m. at Lee Hall Auditorium on the Florida A&M campus.

 

7-10 age group:

 

1st place - Erin Kim 

2nd place - Claire Thaler 

 

11-14 age group:

 

1st place - Katie Kurimay 

2nd place - Kayla Williams 

 

15-18 age group:

 

1st place - Jinny Park 

2nd place - AleX Horton 

Some of these winners will perform with the Big Bend Community Orchestra on Sunday, April 17, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. in Lee Hall on the Florida A&M University campus. Certificates for all competitors and monetary awards for winners will be presented at the concert.
